Ferrari reportedly eyeing upgrades to start European season in style

Ferrari are being tipped to bring their first set of upgrades to their F1-75 for when the European season gets underway later this month in Imola.

The Scuderia have started this season very nicely indeed and currently have P1 held in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.

Indeed, Charles Leclerc is leading the way and will be hoping that a championship challenge is on this season, whilst team-mate Carlos Sainz also has big dreams for a title tilt in 2022.

Of course, they’ve made a good start but the key over a Formula 1 season is to make sure that your development is strong and resting on laurels will only send you one way in terms of the pecking order.

Indeed, with the new generation of cars taking to the track this season, in-campaign development is more important this year than for many a season, and Ferrari will know that just as well as the other nine teams on the grid.

That said, the Italian edition of Motorsport.com is reporting that the Prancing Horse is set for its first set of upgrades at Imola, with the race being held on April 24th, whilst more will follow at Barcelona on May 22nd.

Typically, the European leg of the campaign is where we start seeing the first real upgrades to cars being introduced as it’s easier for the teams to send the parts to the circuits and it appears, according to this report at least, that that is going to be the case yet again.

Ferrari will hope their upgrades continue to spur them on, then, with them returning to the front of the field this season.
