FC Copenhagen vs Man City predictions for UEFA Champions League clash

Manchester City are predicted to continue their rampant form in the UEFA Champions League, as they prepare to take on FC Copenhagen on Tuesday evening.

Having won all three of their opening fixtures in Group G, City will more than likely confirm their place in the Round of 16 with victory in Denmark, with FiveThirtyEight's supercomputer believing it is more than likely Pep Guardiola's men will emerge victorious.

Given a 82% chance of collecting all three points, City have been dominant thus far with the onus seemingly on attempting to win Europe's elite club competition this season. Erling Haaland has already hit 20 goals and will look to build on his Champions League tally of five thus far.

With the supercomputer only giving the Danish outfit a 5% of winning and a 13% of collecting just a point, the odds are thoroughly stacked against Jacob Neestrup's side once more from a statistical point of view.

Using data collected themselves, FiveThirtyEight believes all of the adjusted goals, shot-based expected goals and non-shot expected goals play a huge part in predicting the outcome of any football game. Since all three metrics represent the number of goals a team either scored or could have been expected to score during the match, they’re directly comparable across a season.
