Liverpool vs Man City predictions ahead of Premier League showdown

Manchester City have not won at Anfield since 2019 but the bookies expect Pep Guardiola's all-stars to take inflict a first home defeat of the season on the Reds when the sides meet on Sunday.

This will be Haaland's first visit to Anfield with City and his clash with the league's best defender, Virgil van Dijk, is going to be a fascinating match-up even though the Liverpool defender hasn't been at his imperious best this season.

Liverpool haven't won a Premier League match since their last-gasp victory over Newcastle at the end of August and the intensity in their play, something that has been such a big part of their make-up in recent seasons, isn't at anything like the same level this term.

Jurgen Klopp's side hit form against Rangers in midweek, firing seven past the beleaguered Scottish champions, but Rangers have barely competed in Europe this season so it's probably unwise to get too carried away with that win.
