Maidstone ended the regular National League South season with a draw at Farnborough - and will travel to Worthing in a play-off eliminator on Wednesday night.
It’s a repeat of last season’s semi-final meeting, which the Rebels won 2-1 with a late goal.
Worthing clinched fourth place to set up a home tie against Maidstone thanks to a big win over Enfield, while Tom Leahy and Aaron Blair struck as United twice battled back for a point at Boro.
Farnborough had nothing to play for but you’d never have known it as they flew at Maidstone from the kick-off.
Having put eight past Hampton on Easter Monday, they were clearly in the mood to finish the season with a flourish.
The Stones, effectively safe in the play-offs given their goal difference advantage over nearest rival Weston, didn’t know what had hit them in the early stages as Boro took a third-minute lead.
Alexis Andre Jr made a decent save after Jonathan Stuttle latched on to Richard Chin’s ball over the top but, from the resulting corner, Lexus Beeden nodded home at the back post.

Reiss Greenidge, one of the three changes to the side who drew with Tonbridge on Easter Monday, made a decent challenge to thwart Stuttle and also blocked an effort from Millar Matthews-Lewis.
Soon after, Tayt Trusty got in the way of Ricky Holmes’ strike.
A potential opening for Maidstone went when Trusty put too much on a through ball for Aaron Blair.
But they levelled in the 32nd minute when Greenidge won possession high up the pitch and played in Leahy, who eased the ball past Turner for his second Stones goal.
