"Fans will be really excited" - Journalist reacts as Leeds eye 26 y/o who can be "world-beater"

Leeds United fans will be “really excited” to see Adama Traore at Elland Road next season if the winger opts to join the club, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Traore’s future is currently unclear, and he has been linked with a move to the Yorkshire outfit in recent days.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona, but the Catalan giants were unable to afford to sign him permanently at the end of the campaign.

He has now returned to his parent club Wolves, but he has just a year left on his contract at Molineux. Wolves could be open to selling him this summer to avoid losing him for nothing in 2023.

It has been revealed by Football Insider that Leeds have made an approach for the Spanish international, who Wolves value at around £18m.

O’Rourke has admitted that Traore has had his problems with delivering the goods on a weekly basis during his time in the Premier League.

However, he believes the forward has talent in abundance, and has tipped him to be an excellent addition to the Leeds squad, should he move to Jesse Marsch’s side.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke said: “I think the fans will be really excited about Traore. We all know he’s a bit inconsistent, Traore, but on his day he can be a world-beater. He gets fans off their seats with his direct style, and his fast, attacking style of football that he does play. I think if Leeds can get the best out of Traore, he could be a great signing.”
