Fans spotted Phil Foden laughing at Diego Simeone’s touchline antics in stoppage-time

Phil Foden appeared to laugh at Diego Simeone’s touchline antics during the closing stages of Wednesday’s heated Champions League quarter-final second leg between Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.

The 21-year-old, who provided the moment of magic that led to Kevin De Bruyne scoring the only goal of the tie during last week’s first leg, was on the receiving end of rough treatment from Atletico’s players at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Nine minute of stoppage-time were added at the end of the game and as Simeone became increasingly animated on the touchline, Foden couldn’t help but see the funny side.

The England international was seen glancing over to Simeone before having a giggle with the City bench.
