Fan hospitalized after fall from 21-foot wall at PNC Park - ESPN

PITTSBURGH — A fan was removed from the field on a cart after falling from the 21-foot Clemente Wall in right field at PNC Park during Wednesday night's game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs.

In a statement released shortly after Pittsburgh's 4-3 win, the Pirates identified the fan as an «adult male» and said he was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. No further details were available.

Right after Andrew McCutchen hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to put the Pirates ahead 4-3, players began waving frantically for medical personnel. The Pirates said Pittsburgh EMS as well trainers from both teams and other PNC Park personnel administered care before the fan was removed from the field on a cart.

Players from both teams could be seen praying, and McCutchen held a cross that hung from his neck while the fan was taken off the field.
