Fan following boosts young star Pak ahead of EWC 2023

Rodi Pak is getting ready for his second season in the FIM Endurance World Championship in the knowledge that he has no shortage of fan support from back home. The 22-year-old from Turkey has joined Slider Endurance for the upcoming EWC campaign when he will link up with team-mates, Frenchman Charles Cortot, Italy’s Jacopo Cretaro and reserve rider Charles Diller, who is also from France.

“Being on the podium with them watching me made me really happy.” Pak continued: “I had a tough but good season in 2022, always in the top six in the races. Being on the FIM Endurance World Cup podium with P3 in the Bol d'Or was an incredible feeling because we were always very close to the podium with our consistent race pace, but with some small issues were costing us time.

In the last race of the season we were able to overcome all of this and reach the podium.” Of his 2023 EWC aims, Pak said: “My first target is to have good connection with the team. Jacopo Cretaro, one of the riders from the team, is a fellow team-mate of mine from the 24H of Barcelona [when we finished second overall], so we know each other and that will be an upside to building a good setting with the bike.
