Fabrizio Romano now issues 'really important' Gabriel Jesus claim at Arsenal

Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the Que Golazo YouTube channel about Arsenal’s interest in Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal are set to be very active in the transfer market this summer, especially in the striker department considering that both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to become free agents in the summer, leaving them with zero senior strikers at the club.

This has seen their name linked with a host of attacking options such as Jonathan David, Alexander Isak and the more well known in England, Gabriel Jesus, who has recently gone on a run of six goals in his last four games.

David Ornstein first revealed Arsenal’s interest in Jesus and now Romano has revealed how important Champions League football will be when attracting Jesus to the Emirates.

(18:56) “For Arsenal, it’s more than important [Champions League football] because from an economic point of view, but even because they’re already negotiating with some players.

I’ll give you an example, Gabriel Jesus is a player they want to sign but to have Champions League football is really important for Arsenal to be attractive to this player and in negotiations with these players.”

If Arsenal can finish inside the top four and be able to offer Jesus regular first-team football as the club’s main out and out striker, something that hasn’t always been the case at Man City, then it could well look to be a very tempting prospect for the Brazilian.
