Fabrizio Romano: Julian Ward now 'ready' to make yet another signing for Liverpool

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have now fully agreed the deal to sign Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay.

After already securing the signings of Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez, new sporting guru Julian Ward is showing no signs of slowing down as he adds yet another fresh face to the squad at Kirkby.

Jurgen Klopp is to be gifted another exciting young player to his ranks for what will be his third summer swoop – the 18-year-old flying full-back has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, despite his contract at the Pittodrie Stadium not being set to expire until 2024.

Following a fresh update, it appears as though the talented teen will soon be unveiled as a Premier League player after a huge development on Merseyside this week, with Ward wasting no time in racking up the business early on in his new role.

Taking to Twitter, Romano confirmed that the clubs have now ‘signed all paperworks’ and an imminent move to Merseyside is ‘ready’. He wrote:

“Liverpool and Aberdeen have signed all paperworks for Calvin Ramsay deal. Contract ready until June 2027 to be completed once medical is done.

“Final fee: £4m plus £2.5m add ons.”

Whilst Ramsay won’t necessarily be slotting straight into Klopp’s starting XI ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold, the youngster is a hugely exciting prospect and is a player who has the potential to go on and become the future of the Reds.

Last season, the defender made 33 appearances across all competitions for the Dons, registering nine assists and even getting himself on the scoresheet once as well, via Transfermarkt, showing his attacking qualities at wing-back, emulating that of Liverpool’s current number 66.
