FA Youth Cup: Steward goes viral after taking out pitch invader in Man Utd vs Nottingham Forest

Manchester United won the FA Youth Cup for the first time since 2011 on Wednesday evening.

United’s U18s faced Nottingham Forest’s U18s in the final at Old Trafford.

United took the lead inside 10 minutes through captain Rhys Bennett.

But Forest restored parity in the 43rd minute to ensure the game went into half-time all-square.

United won the game in the final 20 minutes.

Alejandro Garnacho, who made his debut for the first-team earlier this season, won and then converted a penalty, before bagging his second and confirming the win for his side in stoppage-time.

67,492 fans turned up to the game, a record for the competition, and they were treated to a fantastic game.

But the excitement got too much for some fans during and after the game, with there multiple instances of a supporter invading the pitch.

A steward has gone viral on Reddit after a pitch invader made their way onto the pitch.

The steward successfully chased down the fan and floored them with a brutal slide challenge. Watch the moment below…
