FA Cup draw in full as Manchester United and Man City discover fifth round opponents

The draw for this season's FA Cup fifth round has taken place - with Manchester United and Manchester City now finding out their next opponents.

After taking another step on the road to Wembley, the two Manchester clubs - who have contested the last two finals beneath English football's famous arch - found themselves in the hat for the last-16 and those ties were then pitted on Monday night.

As a result, United will take on Fulham, while City are due to meet Plymouth Argyle. Both of the Manchester clubs have home advantage. Ties are inked-in for Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2.

Plymouth booked their date with City by dumping out Premier League pace-setters Liverpool.

Full details - including a TV schedule - will be confirmed in due course.

Catch up with our dedicated updates from the FA Cup fifth round draw below.

For Man City, it's the big tie of the lot with Plymouth being rewarded for their cup upset at the hands of Liverpool with a trip to the Etihad Stadium.

It's the first meeting between the two teams since 1988, a 1-0 win for City. The two teams met in the FA Cup round of 16 in 1988 with the Citizens winning 3-1 thanks to goals from Ian Scott, Paul Simpson and Paul Moulden.

So it's a repeat of United's first game of the 2024/25 season as Fulham visit Old Trafford in the fifth-round.

The two sides met at the quarter-final stage in 2023 with United winning 3-1 at the quarter-final stage. Bruno Fernandes' double set them on their way after the Cottagers had gone ahead.

Fans will remember the controversy from that game with Marco Silva, Willian and Aleksandar Mitrovic, all sent off prior to Fernandes' penalty equaliser.
