FA Cup 3rd round draw LIVE as Premier League giants join competition

The magic of the FA Cup steps up a gear tonight as the third-round draw is made — and clubs across the pyramid begin to dream.

Premier League and Championship sides enter the competition for the first time this season, with Swansea City and Wrexham flying the flag for Wales in the hat. Both will be eagerly awaiting their fate, along with a clutch of non-league hopefuls hoping to land a lucrative glamour tie under the lights.

Macclesfield, Weston-super-Mare and Boreham Wood have all battled their way through to the third round, while sixth-tier Brackley Town could join them if they manage to overcome Burton Albion later this evening.

Holders Crystal Palace, who stunned Manchester City in last season’s final, also join the draw as anticipation builds for the first truly blockbuster weekend of the competition.
