There were absolute scenes at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

Manchester City appeared to be strolling towards another Champions League final after a second half goal from Riyad Mahrez put them 5-3 ahead in their semi-final tie.

But Real Madrid, as they always seem to do, defied the odds to level things on aggregate in the dying embers of the game.

A dramatic stoppage-time brace from substitute Rodrygo Goes saved Los Blancos’ skins and sent the match to extra-time.
