'Expect them to get that deal done' - Goldbridge claims MCFC could make 'signing of the summer'

YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has claimed that he expects Marc Cucurella to sign for Manchester City – and that it would be the signing of the summer.

There have been reports stating that City are interested in signing Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion, and the Premier League champions are set to make a bid for the Spanish left-back in the next few days.

Cucurella signed for Brighton from Getafe last summer, and was been one of the standout performers for the Seagulls as they achieved their highest-ever finish in the Premier League, while he was named Player of the Season for the south coast side.

With Yves Bissouma edging closer to becoming a Tottenham Hotspur player, Goldbridge spoke on his YouTube channel and claimed that if Cucurella signed for City, it would be one of the signings of the summer.

He said: “I’m now tempted to say that Cucurella to Man City is up there with Bissouma as signing of the summer. I know people are buying Haaland and Nunez and there will be some other big deals – maybe United will finally do a De Jong deal – but in relation to Cucurella, every time I’ve watched him he’s brilliant.”

“I’d expect them to get that deal done now he’s (Cucurella) only been at Brighton for a year so they will probably pay more for him than what Spurs did for Bissouma as there was only one year left on his deal,” Goldbridge said.
