AFC Bournemouth have swooped to sign Nat Phillips from Liverpool on transfer Deadline Day. 

Phillips has made 23 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions and stepped up regularly for the Reds last season, as injuries ripped through their squad.

However, the return of key players this season has limited the 24-year-old’s game time and opened up the door to a loan.

Bournemouth have confirmed the arrival of Phillips on loan until the end of the season, as Scott Parker looks to guide the Cherries back into the Premier League after two years in the Championship.

Parker’s defence has been consistent all season, but they are trailing the top-two at this stage and sit third in the table.
