'Exactly what we need' - Hull City fans react to Tobias Figueiredo signing

Hull City have announced the signing of Tobias Figueiredo after he was released at the end of his contract by Nottingham Forest. The central defender has agreed a two-year contract at the MKM Stadium with the option of a further year.

Figueiredo played a key role in helping Forest to the Premier League last season as he featured on 26 occasions in the Championship. Although, with Steve Cooper looking to upgrade his squad to make it fit for the top flight, the 28-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements.

He will be City’s first signing of the summer when his deal officially expires at the City Ground on Friday. With big changes to the squad expected this summer, Shota Arveladze will be hoping Figueiredo’s arrival is the first of many. It has already been confirmed that Ozan Tufan is on his way to East Yorkshire to put the finishing touches to his deal from Fenerbahce and further recruits are likely to follow.
