Ex reveals huge West Ham injury boost

Earlier in April, it was reported that the centre-back was set to miss at least four weeks of football having picked an ankle injury against Brentford.

However, it seems as though the player could be set for a return to action a little sooner that first predicted with Ex able to provide a positive update recently.

Indeed, speaking ahead of the Hammers’ recent loss against Chelsea, the presenter explained that while this game would come too soon for Zouma, he may not be that far off from a return.

He posted on The West Ham Way Patreon page: “Issa Diop’s injury is a big blow and whilst we believe Kurt Zouma is way ahead of schedule this game will come too soon to start.”

TIF thoughts on Kurt Zouma and West Ham…

This news will come as a huge boost to West Ham who have a number of troubling defensive concerns at the moment.

Indeed, as Ex mentions, Diop’s recent injury is a ‘big blow’. This is because Angelo Ogbonna is also recovering from a bad injury.

To make things worse, Craig Dawson picked up a straight red card in that loss to Chelsea, which means David Moyes’ defensive options are dwindling even more.

With that in mind, this Zouma update will come as welcome injury news for all involved with the club.
