Adam Clayton of The Athletic has revealed that Herrera was “in contention” for a move to Spurs. He is said to be against this transfer due to his allegiance with Man Utd:
“PSG’s Ander Herrera was mentioned as a name in contention for a swap deal with Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham,” Clayton explained (via The Athletic Football Podcast).
“But he’s happy at PSG and I’m told that he would only want to play for Manchester United in England.”
Elsewhere, Simon Jordan believes that Anthony Martial’s struggles at Old Trafford are down to himself and not the club, claiming that he has ‘failed to adapt’.
