Ex-Limerick keeper Freddy Hall dies aged 37
Former Limerick FC goalkeeper Freddy Hal has died aged 37.
Hall signed for Limerick back in 2015 and established himself as a popular figure among team-mates and supporters. He helped the Munster club to the 2016 First Division title but moved on in the spring of 2018.
Hall, who also played for Northampton Town and Toronto FC, won 10 international caps for his native Bermuda.
"It was with great sadness that we learned this morning of the untimely death of Freddy Hall who served the club with distinction during his time here," Limerick FC tweeted.
"The club extends its sincere condolences to Freddy's family at his tragic passing."
