Ex-Corrie and Dancing On Ice star Hayley Tamaddon shares sad news of split in Mother's Day message

Hayley Tamaddon has shared a sad message with her followers as she woke up on Mother's Day a single mum. The actress, who has appeared in Coronation Street and Emmerdale, revealed she had split from her fiancé.

The 45-year-old said her life was "turned upside down" in the message as she celebrates her first Mother’s Day alone with her son, Jasper.

Hayley, who played Andrea Beckett in Corrie after playing Delilah Dingle in ITV's fellow soap Emmerdale for two years, got engaged to estate agent Adrian weeks after sharing the delightful news that she was pregnant back in 2019.

Revealing they were no longer together, the Dancing On Ice winner post a heart on Twitter alongside a picture of a statement which read: "This Mother’s Day is different for me as I’m now a single mum. Mine and Jasper’s life has been turned upside down over the past few months but I realise the best thing to come out of this is Jasper. For he is all I need… and all I’ve ever wanted.

"He makes me so happy! I never set out to be a single parent… but I DID set out to be the best mum I could be, and that hasn’t changed. I’m so lucky I get to be his mummy. And I’m very proud of myself for overcoming the many obstacles I’ve faced since he was born."

She then ended the message: "To any other single mamas out there… I salute you. Have the most wonderful day." Her post soon attracted attention with her followers sharing their support to the mother-of-one.

Dancing On Ice star Matt Evers wrote: "You are an amazing person and an incredible mother. Nothing but love…"

BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough also said: "No better woman for the job. Sending love x."
