Ex-Bok lock Bekker joins Bulls as White's assistant coach
Bekker will serve as assistant coach to Bulls director of rugby Jake White.
The 39-year-old Bekker will link up with the squad from Monday when the team begins its pre-season.
Bekker, who played 29 Tests for the Springboks, will primarily look after the forwards and breakdown department.
The Paul Roos alumni enjoyed a successful time as a player, in a career that spanned fourteen years which majority he spent in the Cape with the Stormers before moving to Japan to join the Steelers.
Bekker made his Bok debut against Wales back in 2008, before moving to Japan in 2013 and then retiring in 2018.
The Bulls look to tap into Bekker's experience as he is welcomed at Loftus.
"We are making some changes to our coaching department, looking to bring reinforcements ahead of the new season," said Edgar Rathbone, BBCo Chief Executive.
"Our desire is to continuously surround our players with top quality coaches and mentors who can challenge them to be at their best.
"I am confident that he is going to find our environment a great fit for him and equally, our players will enjoy being under his guidance at the front.
"We look forward to welcoming him and his family to Loftus and I am sure he will enjoy his time with our Bulls family."
