Liverpool's 2-0 win over Villareal on Wednesday night was an extremely one sided affair, with the Reds holding 71% possession during the game. This was largely down to the passing skill of former Bayern Munich and Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who has been in sensational form of late for the Reds.

Singling out Thiago for praise specifically, Emery added: "And then they worked with this coach and a lot of players that played, played tonight and others they signed. They have a good team around Jurgen Klopp.
