Everything Lee Radford said ahead of Castleford's Challenge Cup tie with Hull KR

Lee Radford met with the press on Tuesday to preview Castleford's Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with Hull Kingston Rovers, with plenty of topics on the agenda. Here is everything Radford said on the major issues as the Tigers look to progress to the semi-finals at Elland Road.

Castleford had a number of injury concerns coming out of last weekend's victory against Toulouse Olympique. The likes of Gareth O'Brien, Greg Eden and Liam Watts all picked up niggles - but Radford had good news to report.

"We're all good I think," he said. "We've got a clean bill of health. The only obvious one missing is George Lawler due to his suspension, and Dan Smith is back in contention too. Everyone has pulled up all fine which is really pleasing."

Lawler will be missing Castleford's next three games after picking up a suspension following a tackle in the win against Toulouse "I can accept the ban, you just look for consistency," Radford said.

"When you see others that haven't been as punished as heavy.. if it's a ban for a spear tackle that's fine, it's just disappointing when you find others in games when you're previewing opposition teams. He's going to have a little mini pre-season over the next three weeks."

When asked if Castleford were tempted to appeal, Radford said: "Yes, but my argument would have only been that I've got a similar tackle here that didn't get penalised."

With Eden now likely to be fit to face former club Hull KR on Friday, Radford admitted he has been impressed with the form of the prolific winger, who has impressed so far in 2022.
