Crystal Palace warning ahead of FA Cup clash with Chelsea

Crystal Palace have the attacking players to “hurt any team”, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay.

The Eagles are preparing to face Chelsea in a mouthwatering FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley on Sunday.

Patrick Vieira’s men started off their FA Cup journey by coming from behind to beat Millwall 2-1 in the third round.

They then eased past Hartlepool 2-0, before seeing off Stoke City 2-1 in the last 16. Their quarter-final showdown against Everton was expected to be their biggest test, but Palace recovered from a slow start to thrash the Toffees 4-0.

Overall, the Premier League outfit have scored 10 goals in their four matches in the competition to date to progress to the final four.

The goals have been flying in for Palace in the previous rounds, and Barclay believes the team have attacking options that could cause Chelsea problems.

However, he has admitted that Vieira’s side could have their work cut out as the Blues have rediscovered their best form over the past week.

Assessing Palace’s chances ahead of Sunday’s game, Barclay told GIVEMESPORT: “With that youth and drive, and some of the talent they’ve got out wide, I think they could hurt any team, really. But, it’s all caveated with the fact that Chelsea look like they’re back.”

“It’s going to be a really hard task, but every Palace fan knows that, and the fact that they’ve got to a semi-final is a real achievement. And with some of the young players they’ve got, and Vieira’s attacking style, I think they can hurt anyone.”
