Every word Mikel Arteta said on Eddie Nketiah future, Pepe, Stuivenberg and Ben White fitness

The way we started we were electric. We were so determined, incisive, scored two good goals and created chances and didn’t allow anything to happen around our box. And after that the red card presented a different match. They completely changed their behaviour and how they were set up and we had to manage that in a different way. For a lot of phases we did well but we needed to score the third goal and we had the chances to do that. Then the accident happened when we conceded a set piece goal and then some nerves had to be handled.

It wasn’t taking our foot off the gas. It was just to try to play the game that we have to in that phase. We showed a lot of maturity not to rush things and concede breaks. But we didn’t find the net in key moments to have a different last 20 minutes.

We are going to go for that match with the same enthusiasm that we always do but knowing that this can be a defining moment and that can be another layer of motivation for us to really go for it. I can’t wait for the game.

Eddie is doing what he has done all season. He has been very consistent with his performance and how little he is giving away. Let him be. Let him enjoy the moment because he completely deserves it and things will happen naturally.

We are finding ways to win matches. The way we played for the first 35 minutes was brilliant. Under pressure to play we are doing under pressure in front of our people is credit to them. But you always have an opponent and the context changes throughout the game and you don’t expect to always be on top for 95 minutes. We are getting better and dealing with it because we are winning matches.

Hopefully not but when you look at the other games you see a lot of that because now is the defining moment
