Everton tipped to go back in for Sheff Utd striker Daniel Jebbison, in Dominic Calvert-Lewin repeat

Everton are back on the trail of young Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison and could make a move to sign him this summer, according to a report.

The Canada-born ace, who represents England U19s, has been on United’s books since 2018. Following a loan spell at Chorley, he made his Blades debut in a 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace in May last year.

Jebbison went on to make history in his next senior outing. He scored against Everton at Goodison Park to become the youngest player to find the back of the net in their first Premier League start, while aged just 17 years and 10 months.

Jebbison spent the first half of the current campaign at Burton Albion in League One. He did well, bagging nine goals in 23 matches.

The attacker was recalled to Bramall Lane in January amid United’s striker shortage. However, he is yet to add to his tally and is now vying with fellow teenager William Osula for a spot on the bench.

Jebbison, previously linked with Leeds and Dortmund, still has high potential though and is seemingly back on Everton’s radar.

Football League World claim the Toffees have liked Jebbison since he bagged against them last season.

Their interest cooled somewhat, but they are now back in the mix to sign him ahead of the summer transfer window.

Everton officials apparently view Jebbison as the next Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Of course, the Blades academy graduate left South Yorkshire for Everton in August 2016.

Calvert-Lewin cost £1.5million, and he is now Everton’s main striker as well as a full England international.

The report suggests United are at risk of losing some of their best players if they fail to gain promotion through the play-offs. Sander Berge and John Egan are two stars who are likely to gain
