Everton: Disturbing Toffees 'dressing room' claim emerges ahead of Newcastle clash
No one in the Everton dressing room will be looking forward to tonight’s game, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
Frank Lampard’s side face a massive game in their battle against survival when they host Newcastle at Goodison Park.
Whatever happens in this evening’s clash, the Toffees have time to repair whatever damage might occur against the Magpies.
But the enormity of this game simply cannot be underestimated. Everton have collected just seven points from their last 45 available and were beaten by Wolves on Sunday to extend their run of losses to four on the bounce, with the Merseysiders failing to score in any of those.
This is one of three matches in hand on 18th place Watford, who occupy the final relegation place, but Lampard’s men face a daunting fixture list and know that three points against Newcastle could go some way to ensuring they’re still a Premier League club next season.
But failing to collect maximum points will only add to the growing concerns surrounding Goodison Park, with Everton facing the prospect of being relegated for the first time since the Premier League was formed.
Therefore, with an anxious night on the cards, Jones doesn’t believe that anyone at the club will be relishing the game.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think there’ll be anyone in that Everton dressing room looking forward to the game and that is a bad place to be.”

33 points will still be up for grabs after this one, so it isn’t necessarily must-win for Everton, but getting a victory could go some way to keeping them in the top-flight.
Not only would it give them breathing space, but it could be the catalyst for them to go on
