Everton: £28.5m star 'likely' to make Goodison Park exit

Everton defender Yerry Mina is ‘quite likely’ to depart the club over the coming months, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The 27-year-old has been plagued by injuries throughout his time at Goodison Park, and with just over 12 months remaining on his current contract, he could be moved on in the summer.

Mina joined Everton from Catalan giants Barcelona back in August 2018 for a fee that could rise to £28.5 million, signing a five-year deal following an impressive World Cup campaign.

However, the Colombia international has struggled to find his best form on a consistent basis since, largely due to his extensive fitness woes.

Throughout his near four-year stay on Merseyside, Mina has failed to start over 25 Premier League games in a single season, and this term has been one of his most frustrating to date.

Everton have a much better record when Mina has been available for selection this season, losing just four of the 11 top-flight fixtures he’s featured in.
