Even Jurgen Klopp Admitted He Got 'Carried Away' With Full-Time Fist Pumps After Leeds Win

A few minutes later, in his post-match press conference, the German admitted he got carried away in the moment but he wanted to send a message to the crowd, who made a big impact.

“If it would’ve been 10 seconds later, I wouldn’t have done it,” said the boss. “But in that moment I got a little bit carried away and it doesn’t happen too often anymore.

“Absolutely fine for the moment and I really love how the whole stadium responded to the game and how we really were in the game as a unit.

“I couldn’t be more thankful of the support of the people because so many things happen only because of them. I’m really happy that from time to time we can give them a performance and a scoreline like tonight."

Klopp added: "Honestly we don’t chase City, we try to win our football games.

"The thing is now we have the cup final at the weekend, City play (Everton) and they might probably win this game and it’s six points again before we play the next Premier League game.

"We don’t have to count these things. We just have to win the game. It is an interesting period of the season definitely: we play the final, then FA Cup, then West Ham and no-one should count the points before we play them because we lost there."

Do you think Liverpool will win the Premier League after their recent run of form?
