Eurovision Song Contest 2024: Date, location, time, line up, presenters and UK spokesperson

The highly-anticipated Eurovision final is almost here, with 26 countries competing to become champion of the world's biggest music competition.

The action will unfold at Sweden's Malmo Arena this year, after Loreen claimed her second Eurovision victory at last year's contest in Liverpool. She scored 583 points with her emotional pop hit Tattoo.

Despite being on home soil, the UK landed in second-to-last place with just 24 points for Mae Muller's I Wrote A Song. Former Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander will be hoping to score higher with electro-pop single Dizzy.

We've already had a taste of Olly's routine as the UK - along with the rest of the Big Five (France, Germany, Italy and Spain) and host nation Sweden each performed their songs in full live during the semi-finals in a Eurovision first.

The grand finale kicks off on Saturday, May 11. You can tune into coverage on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm in the UK.

Graham Norton will be offering up his quips on the channel. Scott Mills and Rylan will be leading the commentary over on BBC Radio 2 and Radio Sounds.

TV legend Joanna Lumley will be announcing the points from the UK's jury vote on Eurovision this year. The Absolutely Fabulous star, 78, succeeds comedian Catherine Tate as spokesperson.

Joanna said: "I am delighted to be announcing the jury vote for the UK at this year's Eurovision. It's such a fabulous honour to give the iconic 'douze points'!"

TV presenter Petra Mede and Hollywood star Malin Akerman are fronting Eurovision this year.
