Eurovision 2024 results as countries and viewers vote Switzerland's Nemo as winner

Switzerland's Nemo was named winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden on Saturday, May 11. The live grand final came after the singing competition was mired in controversy, from the inclusion of Israel in the contest to the disqualification of Netherlands' Joost Klein.

Below you can see all our updates from the finale, at the Malmo Arena, which saw the big five countries, UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy, joined by reigning champions Sweden and 19 other qualifying countries to perform in a bid to win the title.

UK contestant Olly Alexander, who is the lead singer of pop band Years And Years, scored a total of 46 points from the jury but zero points from the audience vote for his song Dizzy featuring an upside-down dressing room staging and cameras rotating to create a spinning feel. Sweden hosted the competition following the victory of its singer Loreen in Liverpool last year, and it also marked the 50-year anniversary of Abba giving Sweden its first win with their hit song Waterloo. Irish presenter.
