Hailing from Hamburg, the band have released eight years since 2010. Lord of the Lost began life as a solo project in 2007 from Chris Harms, a musician who has previously been part of German rock bands Philiae and The Pleasures.

Having received a positive response after uploading songs onto MySpace, Chris, 43, recruited fellow musicians from the Hamburg music scene to work on his first album and they joined forces to form band Lord of the Lost.

Alongside frontman Chris, the band currently comprises Gared Dirge, Class Grenayde, Pi and Niklas Kahl.

The band was chosen to support Iron Maiden on their 2020 European tour after bassist Steve Harris personally picked them for the honour. The tour was eventually rescheduled to 2022 due to the pandemic, with Lord of the Lost supporting the band on 11 dates.

Lord of the Lost will return to support Iron Maiden this year as part of their Future Past tour between June and August, with a date at the AO Arena in Manchester on June 30.

The song Blood and Glitter is described as being an anthem about living life to its fullest despite the harsh realities and hurdles.
