Europa League wrap: Spurs sink AZ Alkmaar on Troy Parrott return

A Richarlison penalty ensured Tottenham maintained their 100 per cent record in the Europa League with a 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar.

Republic of Ireland forward Troy Parrott lined out for the Dutch side, making his return to Spurs, the club he joined in 2017 from Belvedere FC in Dublin.

Richarlison converted from the spot after 53 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, taking the Londoners to second in the 36-team table behind only Lazio on goal difference. Alkmaar had David Wolfe sent off in the closing stages.
