Europa League draw LIVE as Hearts learn their playoff foes before Dundee United go into Europa Conference hat

It's finally time for Hearts to learn their first European opponents this season.

The Jambos enter today's draw for the playoff round of the UEFA Europa League. A win over two legs will see them return to the group stage of the competition for the first time since 2004, when it was still known as the UEFA Cup. The Tynecastle team kicked off their Scottish Premiership season with a 2-1 win over Ross County but attention now turns to Nyon in Switzerland to learn where they'll be jetting off to later this month.

Of course, all will not be lost if they exit at this stage. Robbie Neilson's team have the safety net of the Europa Conference League. They'll drop into the group stage of the continent's newest competition should they be knocked out by whoever they are draw against this afternoon. But the Europa League is more prestigious and will be worth more to the club financially, although they are set to rake in around £3.5million regardless of results.

Speaking of the Europa Conference League, Dundee United will also find out who they’ll face in the playoff round should they dispose of AZ Alkmaar in the previous stage. We’ll also have the latest on that.

We'll have all the build, the draws and reaction LIVE right here in the blog.

Neil Lennon won;t be returning to Tynecastle.

Omonia have been drawn against Dnipro-1.

The UEFA blazers have their balls out and could be about to hand Hearts a plum tie.

Here's a reminder of who they could draw:

Malmö FF (SWE)/F91 Diddeleng (LUX)

Shamrock Rovers FC (IRL)/FC Shkupi 1927 (MKD)
