Europa League draw LIVE as Celtic and Rangers ranked as 'danger duo' by worried rivals

It was a bit like the old Bullseye game show on Thursday as Celtic and Rangers watched the Champions League draw seeing what they could have won.

But the Europa League group phase isn't a bad second prize with the Glasgow giants going into the hat in Nyon, Switzerland with some huge names.

It's a tournament Rangers are certainly used to having reached the quarter final last season where they lost to Athletic Bilbao - and it's only three years since they were in the final in Seville.

Celtic have become more accustomed to UEFA's premier competition after three consecutive seasons in the Champions League.

It’s the same set-up you’ll see in the new Champions League.

All 36 teams are placed into one big table, each playing eight matches. The top eight cruise straight into the last 16, while those in 9th to 16th face a play-off against clubs finishing 17th to 24th to battle for the remaining spots.

If you end up 25th or lower then that's the end of the road. There's no second
