Europa Conference League: St Pat's lose to Besiktas, Shamrock Rovers lead Ballkani at half-time

St Patrick's Athletic have lost 3-2 to Besiktas in the Europa Conference League.

The St Pat's lost 7-3 on aggregate after the second leg in Istanbul.

Conor Carty and Ryan McLaughlin scored for St Pat's, while Demir Ege Tıknaz, Tammy Abraham, and João Mário scored for Besiktas.

Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers can take a major step towards qualification for the Conference League on Thursday night.

The Hoops are 1-0 down from the first leg of their third-round clash with Ballkani of Kosovo.

The game is underway at Tallaght Stadium and it is 1-0 to Shamrock Rovers at half-time thanks to Rory Gaffney.
