Manchester United are trying to tempt Napoli into a swap deal for striker Victor Osimhen by offering a player in return, while Arsenal have joined Barcelona in the hunt for an Atletico Madrid attacker – both in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.

Manchester United are ready to offer a player in return after seeing their initial bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen rebuffed.

The Nigerian international moved to Naples from Lille in 2020 and has gone from strength to strength to Italy.

Indeed, the 23-year-old has scored 16 goals and added seven assists this season at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

A number of Premier League clubs, including United, Arsenal and Newcastle have shown an interest. But Area Napoli claims that the Red Devils are the ones who have firmed up that interest.

They report that while an offer was made it was ‘considered too low’ by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

But United are not done yet and are ready to put Anthony Martial’s ‘card on the plate’ in a potential swap
