Euro Paper Talk: Giant defender bound for England as Tottenham, Everton bids submitted; Newcastle step up chase for Atletico midfielder
Tottenham and Everton have submitted bids to sign Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min-jae, who is bound for England, while Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk claims that Newcastle have stepped up their bid to sign Atletico star Yannick Carrasco.
Reports in Turkey claim that Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min-jae is ‘travelling to England’ after Tottenham and Everton tabled bids for his services.
The highly-rated defender, who is an international teammate of Son Heung-min, only joined the Super Lig giants last August from Beijing Guoan in a deal worth an estimated £2.5million.
But the 25-year-old has since established himself as of the division’s best players last and is expected to move on to bigger things.
Spurs were actually keen on a deal for Kim before he moved to Turkey and have maintained their interest.
Having now viewed the player in action for a full season in Europe, it appears that Tottenham and Everton are ready to make their moves.

The report adds that the offers from England are in excess of £17m, which is likely to tempt Fenerbahce into a sale.
And while they are loathed to sell, they are aware that sort of figure could fund their summer transfer business.
There is no mention of Kim’s preference for his next club. However, the fact that Son has pushed the player’s cause at Spurs appears to hint that he could end up in London.

The Italy star is known to be first choice for Antonio Conte, although Inter are likely to be tough nuts to crack.
Kim would certainly be the cheaper option but Bastoni comes
