Euro 2022: Three nutmegs in six seconds for Norway's Caroline Graham Hansen

Norway were taking absolutely no prisoners as they got their Euro 2022 campaign off in style against Northern Ireland on Thursday night.

One of the favourites to go all the way in England this summer, the Norwegians have been buoyed by the return of 2018 Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg to an already stacked squad.

And amongst the other standout names available to Martin Sjögren over the course of the tournament is none other than Caroline Graham Hansen.

Entering the Euros with a formidable record of 43 goals in 93 caps for the Scandinavian nation, Hansen plies her trade Barcelona Femení with 32 strikes to her name with the iconic number seven on her back.

However, it was the 27-year-old’s dazzling footwork that caught the eye when Norway wasted no time at all in asserting their dominance over Northern Ireland at St Mary’s Stadium.

In amongst the drama of Julie Blakstad and Frida Maanum firing Norway into a 2-0 lead within just 13 minutes, Hansen seemed hellbent on nutmegging every member of the opposite team.

In fact, during one remarkable phase of play out on the right flank, you’d have been forgiven for thinking that the Barcelona star had whipped out no less than four nutmegs in mere seconds.

Yes, seriously. Such was the elite level of close control from Hansen that she had the Northern Irish players chasing their own tails, slipping the ball between their legs like it was absolutely nothing.

And while, on closer inspection, you can probably only say that the first, third and fourth nutmegs qualify as being
