Euro 2022: Mary Earps reveals why she danced on table during Sarina Wiegman’s presser

Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps has revealed why she danced on the table after gatecrashing Sarina Wiegman’s press conference on Sunday.

England beat Germany 2-1 at Wembley to secure their first ever major silverware and Earps produced an inspired performance in net.

The Manchester United star, who conceded just two goals all tournament, made five saves on the night and dealt with a barrage of German pressure.

Following the match, England’s players were jubilant and interrupted coach Wiegman’s press conference by walking into the media room and singing “It’s coming home.”

As the squad paraded around their manager, Earps took it upon herself to get up on the table and start dancing.

“It was just the realisation of ‘oh my gosh, we’ve done it’, this is what everybody wanted. An incredible feeling!”
