Esteban Ocon likens driving Singapore's street track to go-kart racing: 'Very physical'

Alpine driver Esteban Ocon is not looking forward to this weekend's Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.

The track is known for being pretty bumpy, and with this season's F1 cars struggling with uneven surfaces, Ocon believes it will be a big challenge.

The Frenchman admitted that it's one of his least favourite tracks on the calendar and probably won't be enjoyable.

"It's going to be very bumpy," said Ocon, as quoted by Motorsport.com.

"A big challenge, I think, for us, very physical. I love Singapore. But the track itself is not my favourite. They are go-karts on kerbs. It's going to be a tricky one. "It's not going to be fun. But we're up for the challenge. And I think it's going to be interesting also to see who chooses what, in terms of set-up. If you go for the car that rides well, or the car that has grip."

"I think Canada has been pretty bad," he said when asked if the Marina Bay Street Circuit is the worst track.

"But probably it will be one of the worst ones. It always is. It's not news."
