Erling Haaland transfer latest as Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola told loose lips sink ships
Pep Guardiola is keeping his lips sealed over his side's pending deal with Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
The Manchester City boss was quizzed about the situation during a press conference on Tuesday.
Despite not saying the words, the Spaniard's body language seemed to tell the story in itself.
He looked excited about his potential new signing as he promised he wants to talk about it – but can't say much for now.
Pep explained: “Everybody knows the situation [on Haaland]. Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City have told me that I am not allowed to say something until it is done.
"They are telling me, 'Don't say anything'."
"I would love to talk, honestly, but I can't.
"They're telling me just don't say anything because of the legal actions, the legal situation.
"We will have time to talk about that.
"Not because I don't want to, but I can't."
The Premier League giants are nearing a deal with the Norwegian who has scored 85 goals in 88 games in German football — and 15 in 13 Champions League appearances.
Haaland's move to Manchester could be confirmed this week after the 21-year-old reportedly underwent a medical in Brussels yesterday.
