Erling Haaland's role in Mo Salah's Liverpool saga as fresh £30m problem comes to light

Liverpool may have been celebrating a surprise January transfer window after they snatched Luis Diaz from Tottenham 's grasp, but it's a deal involving one of their own players that the fans are still eagerly awaiting.

Mohamed Salah has been locked in contract talks with Liverpool for some time, but despite the fact that the Egyptian has made it clear that he wants to stay, a new deal is yet to be announced.

Salah's contract expires at the end of next season, so although there is still plenty of time, Liverpool don't want to leave themselves vulnerable if the saga drags on for too long.
