Erling Haaland's agent issues update as Vincent Kompany gives Man City FA Cup verdict

Here are your Manchester City evening headlines on Thursday, March 2.

Erling Haaland has only been at Manchester City for eight months, but it seems his agent is already planning the striker's next transfer. Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta has regularly spoken about her client's career plan, and the striker himself has alluded to an ambition to play in other leagues throughout his career.

Now, Pimenta says she has even spoken to prospective clubs over a future transfer for Haaland, who is under contract at City until 2027 - as she does for all of her clients, regardless of whether they will leave their current clubs or not.

Speaking at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit, Pimenta said: “In my agency we try to make a plan. We have to make a plan. We need to have a goal. Maybe we won’t achieve it but if don’t know where we’re going for sure we don’t get there.

Vincent Kompany always knew he would be back at the Etihad Stadium in the dugouts, but the Manchester City legend insisted he would remain calm about his return with Burnley in the FA Cup.

City beat Bristol City to book an FA Cup quarter-final spot against Championship leaders Burnley, managed by Kompany, marking the first time the Belgian will be back at the Etihad as an opposition manager.

Joking that his children would have split allegiances due to his close ties with City, Kompany warned his players that the tie would be far from easy - while also outlining Burnley's attitude towards the tie.
