Erling Haaland makes admission about his stunning goal in Man City vs Dortmund

Erling Haaland believes his winning goal against Borussia Dortmund is among the best he's ever scored.

Manchester City maintained their undefeated streak and put themselves in a great position to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages on Wednesday by beating Dortmund 2-1 but they were made to work hard and survive yet another scare. A resolute Dortmund knocked the Blues off their typical game and went ahead through Jude Bellingham in the second half.

Going behind woke City out of their stupor, though, and John Stones dragged them level with a thunderous 25-yard drive. Then Haaland was inevitably the hero as he acrobatically turned in Joao Cancelo's stunning cross for the win. It's a goal that the Norwegian is very pleased with.

“It was a special goal, I have to say," Haaland said. "I scored a similar goal for Dortmund against Wolfsburg and I have been trying this in the last few games I have played for City and finally it worked so it was nice.

"I think I have really long legs, so that is how I reached the ball! It was a really good cross and in the end it was a really good goal, I have to say. This is one of my best goals ever, to be honest. I am flexible, that is something that I work on and it turned out good today.”

Despite enjoying his goal, Haaland isn't dwelling on it too much and has already turned his attention toward Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolves. “It is a good question, but I really don’t think too much about it," he said when asked if he surprises himself with some of the goals he scores.
