Eriksen, Garnacho, Heaton, Van de Beek - Manchester United injury latest before Brentford match

Manchester United saw their injury issues ease during the match against Newcastle United as several first-team players were fit enough to feature following the international break.

Marcus Rashford and Marcel Sabitzer overcame problems that limited their involvement internationally to play the full 90 minutes at St James' Park. Raphael Varane was also fit enough to start before being replaced as part of a triple change by Erik ten Hag late in the second half.

Anthony Martial also appeared as a substitute for the final half an hour. While Casemiro remains suspended, the list of absentees is notably shorter before Brentford arrive at Old Trafford this midweek. Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed the Newcastle game through illness but could be back for Brentford.
