Erik ten Hag tells Manchester United players what they must do against Arsenal

Manchester United play Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and Erik ten Hag has told his players they need to find a way to win, regardless of style.

United made it three wins in a row against Leicester City on Thursday night, as the defeats by Brighton and Brentford feel more and more like they were just a bad dream. Wins over Liverpool, Southampton and now the Foxes, have seen a revitalised team start to click into gear under Ten Hag's management.

This Sunday will arguably be the hardest test for United so far in the league. The Gunners find themselves top of the table having won all five of their matches this campaign.

Mikel Arteta has his side playing with confidence and they will be looking to avenge the 3-2 defeat they suffered the last time they came to Old Trafford in December. Ten Hag is all too aware of the threat that United's next opponents can pose and will be looking to prevent the Gunners from getting their revenge this Sunday.

The Dutchman acknowledged that finding a way to win, regardless of style, is crucial.

“It’s great and a real pleasure to face this,” he told United's in-house media. “Every game is a challenge and that’s what I want, but it’s not about me. It’s about improving the team and working on progressing.

“Yes I watch them [Premier League games] and my focus is especially on the upcoming opponents so this week I watched a lot of Arsenal.

“There are a lot of different types of play in this league and that’s nice to see. It’s all high intensity but the systems and styles are different, and they vary which is nice to see. But it’s also about finding a way to win against them.
