Erik ten Hag signed 15 players at Manchester United - but Ruben Amorim might sell eight
Ruben Amorim has been in charge of Manchester United for a month and will be aware of the size of the job that lies ahead.
Amorim has implemented a new formation and United are developing a new style of play, but results have continued to be hit-and-miss, meaning a win is required on Boxing Day.
United were hammered 3-0 by Bournemouth in their final game before Christmas and supporters left Old Trafford believing the squad needed another major overhaul in the summer.
Amorim inherited Erik ten Hag's squad - the Dutchman spent more than £400million - and how that money has been wasted has been a prominent talking point during a dismal season.
So here are the 15 players signed by Ten Hag on permanent deals....
Signed for: €15m (£12.9m), with a potential €2million in further add-ons.
Verdict: Malacia briefly won Luke Shaw's starting role on the left side of the defence in his first season. He made 39 appearances in that campaign but picked up a knee injury, which required surgery.
His first operation didn't go as planned and he required another round of knee surgery. It was great to see him return last month but he's looked below the level required.

Verdict: Eriksen was brilliant in the first half of the 2022/23 season, starting alongside Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro in midfield and helping Ten Hag oversee a turnaround after a poor start.
The Dane was a peripheral figure in his second campaign although he enjoyed an unlikely renaissance during Ten Hag's final weeks in charge. Amorim has hardly used the midfielder.
