Erik ten Hag's Man Utd target Antony spotted on plane with agent heading to France
Ajax winger Antony has uploaded a picture of himself and agent Emerson Santos in France, fuelling transfer speculation.
The Brazilian, 22, has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists for the Dutch club this term - helping them win the Eredivisie title. It's believed Erik ten Hag is interested in taking Antony to Manchester United after being announced as their new manager.
Yet Thursday evening's photo suggested the player could be heading elsewhere. Antony and his representative were pictured in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris. Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly leading the race for his signature in March.
"Side by side if you win to support you if you lose!" wrote Emerson on Antony's Instagram post. The player added: "Always together I love you brother."
United and PSG are two of the many clubs thought to be interested in signing the talent. Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the nine-cap international, who is battling for a spot in Brazil's World Cup squad.
The Red Devils were the favourites to sign Antony before the picture was released due to his relationship with Ten Hag. The youngster was also a key part of Ajax's Eredivisie triumph in 2020-21, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions.
"Every player under his [Ten Hag's] guidance becomes a better footballer through his training," said Antony in March. "Since my arrival, he has given me a lot of confidence and believed in what I can do. I am grateful to him for that. I respect him very much."
Antony has missed Ajax's last six league games with an ankle injury. "We all miss him," said Ten Hag earlier this month. "Without Antony it is all a bit less fast and dynamic on the right,
